In short, it tells the story of Cam, who’s looking for her friend’s tooth, which disappeared in art class, using her photographic memory.

The Hundred Dresses is one of my favorite children’s books as it has a wonderful message about respecting your peers, even if they come from different backgrounds. This message is delivered through the story of Wanda, who is made fun of for wearing the same dress every day even though she allegedly has a hundred dresses at home.
35. The Grouchy Ladybug – Eric Carle
Want to teach your kid the importance of good manners in a fun way? This book is just the thing. Its pages recount the story of a rude and grouchy ladybug who learns the importance of saying “thank you” and “please,” as well as how much friendship matters.

This cute picture book is a must-add to your 1st-grade book collection. It has beautiful images, and its story is delightful. Quite briefly, it follows Lion and Rabbit as they go searching for their friend after the library has closed down.
